Four-legged reason to run...

Last Sunday I went out for 9 miles, and actually had a great run. It may have been that my run was fueled by a higher than average level of adreneline after having a creature very similar to the one pictured here cross my path 3 miles in! There are rumors of coydogs in Cambridge, and I am here to perpetuate it! This is my third sighting, second one while running...scary! You know, I often complain about how Charlie runs with his head facing the opposite direction - but that was me for a at least a mile on Sunday, making sure the mangy-mutt wasn't hot on my trail! Running in fear, it's not quite as much fun as just running...but it can help the bottom line. I shaved a good 30 seconds off my minutes per mile pace! Not bad!

You should see the 11 mile route that I've planned out for this weekend. Let's just say that in avoidance of country roads, open fields, and forested areas...I'm going to get to know my little corner of residential Cambridge a whole lot better!
